What is Hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of heightened awareness where you are using more of your mind than you usually do. The average person uses about 10% of his brain at any present moment. Hypnosis lets us relax and use 100% of our mind to create habits, positive affirmations and change behaviors with the help of our subconscious mind.

Your Motivation is like a muscle as well – It needs to be trained and strengthened in your mind. To continue (or start) your positive mind training,start with this affirmation: “Everyday I get healthier, leaner and stronger.”

Say this to yourself throughout the day, as you are doing your yoga, and 10 times before you go to sleep each night. (This is the first step in learning self-hypnosis!) When you practice this positive self-talk you are slowly creating a new identity as a healthier person. If you want to get there even quicker, we suggest hypnosis.

How can Hypnosis Help you Lose Weight?

Many people struggle with themselves when it comes to their weight. They know what they should eat, but they just can’t say no to the cravings. They want to work out, but they just can’t find the motivation. Many people find themselves starting a routine of eating right and working out, but they never follow through long enough to see results. To top it all off, people have the stress of their daily lives not making it any easier.

Hypnosis makes this battle easier by allowing direct access to your subconscious mind – the place where all of your habits and beliefs reside. It basically gets your subconscious to agree with what you consciously want. Researchers analyzed 18 studies comparing a cognitive behavioral therapy, such as relaxation training and guided imagery, with the same therapy supplemented by hypnosis. Those who received the hypnosis lost more weight than 90 percent of the non-hypnosis clients, and maintained the weight loss two years after treatment ended!1

An analysis of five weight loss studies reported in the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology in 1996 showed that hypnosis can more than double the effects of traditional weight loss approaches, with subjects losing twice as much weight.2 With hypnosis you learn to think differently and change your relationship towards food. It can also help change your relationship with your workout routine by helping you enjoy it more, knowing that it makes you feel so much better.
